Under Harry Kenny the Pats looking to a revival

Harry Kenny is one determined man, after his time in the coast the man showed many promises when he was then manager of the Bray Wanderers, in a spell that lasted for a short time.

Coming to Dublin and taking over the reins of Saint Patrick’s Athletic is somehow one amazing challenge for him and in spite of his short time in Bray, the man has proven to have the winning touch.

Still he has inherited a prolific era under then manager Liam Buckley who delivered a league shield, one FAI Cup and two EA Sports Cups, what a challenge for sure is on hand for Harry Kenny looking forward to return this club back to its old winning ways.

Among his first order of business is to build up the confidence and institute the drive that used to characterize this club in the league as a fearsome one thanks to its dynamic, creative and spectacular football.

So far, the Pats are getting ready to front in what seems another contested edition of the League of Ireland, with a busy front office hard at work and getting the ideal players to build the armada that manager Kenny is looking to build.

As one thing for sure that the Pats new man in the helm will step up the competition with the current retuning base of players already that have committed to the club along with the new faces that for sure will elevate the quality of this side game.

As mentioned before the Saints have managed to see some of its players from last campaign making a return to Richmond Park and committing to excel and make their club a meteoric return to the league of Ireland primetime.

With the return of important players of the likes of Lee Desmond, Simon Madden, Darragh Markley, Brendan Clarke, Jamie Lennon, Barry Murphy and Brian Maher, this tells you about the seriousness of this club to be an all-around contender.

In addition of the arrival of Gary Shaw and Brandon Miele from cross town foes Shamrock Rovers, Ciaran Kelly- Drogheda United, Cian Coleman- Limerick, Mikey Drennan- Sligo Rovers, David Webster- Waterford and George Poynton- Dundalk.

For the St. Pats it was important to reinforce its midfield with three players, adding two defenders to boost this trouble area but among one of its utmost of needs is the acquisition of two new strikers to upgrade their attack.

For the Dublin based squad the arrivals of Mikey Drennan and Gary Shaw along with Dean Clarke, they have deposited their trust and confidence in this trio that after last year this club being able to be third best in possession in the LOI.

The need to finish played an important role in this club troubles and with both Ryan Brennan and Conan Byrne leaving to Shelbourne these two contributed to the Pats goal-scoring tally in 2018.

However, for former Hoops in midfielder Brandon Miele and forward Gary Shaw the Saints new manager has deposited his faith in these two players to produce a tally of 51 goals while their time in Tallagh.

If everything falls into newcomer manager Kenny plans and goals meet, we can see an all-around improvement in the Pats game and possibly these can make a dash to the top five spots in the overall table.
