The Wolves rose to the occasion on a goal fest in Molineux

What a match celebrated in West Midlands between the local Wolves and Leicester City that delighted the attendees in a totally sold out Molineaux Stadium, exposing the best game from both sides.

With West versus East, this Derby exposed the offensive might of both sides, after this edition of this so-called Midlands contest, in a match vital for the visiting Foxes and their manager Claude Puel looking for a much needed win. 

In a match that kept both sides followers on the edges of their seats and seeing a genuine duel like those of the old west when the local Wanderers went up the in the scoreboard in spite of the visitors counters. 

So far, in this edition of Premiership for these Wolves squad putting a top-notch campaign and on top for its manager Nuño Espiritu Santo side silencing many of its doubters and experts forecasting a not so remarkable run. 

By showing off with a mind-blowing campaign and currently in eight places with 32 points and a point within Watford in seventh place, the Wanderers are counting their teamwork and good fortunes that can land them in the end a European spot. 

Contrary for the squad coming from the East Midlands, Leicester City after netting back to back wins against two of the league two powerhouses in Chelsea and Manchester City raising many eyebrows in league circles. 

As this Leicestershire, based squad once making history in the 2015-16 campaign in what many dubbed it as a fairy tale of a campaign but with a crisis coming to this squad and putting in the eye of the hurricane after a not so prolific run. 

However, the game belonged to an inspired and initiative filled Wolves Diogo Jota who had a treble of an afternoon and culminating with the last goal of the match with the game winner that in the end became the man of the match. 

For the local Wolves exposing a one of a kind campaign and unity stricken locker room that is delivering positive results in this campaign and reviving many of its players careers for the better and with little adjustments in some areas to improve. 

Still if this match belonged to the Wolves from the start, when Ruben Neves miss with just two minutes on the game clock and the insistence of the locals was evident that the game first goal had to happen at any time. 

When the counter started by Raul Jimenez passing to Joao Moutinho this serving to Diogo Jota in the 4’ minute after beating the likes of City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with his first of three goals in the afternoon.

Going up the score when Ryan Bennett scored the second goal of the match and sending the whole of Molineaux into frenzy and thanks to an assist from Joao Moutinho, the Wolves lead 2-0. 

In the second half the locals leading by a goal, came the combination of City of Jamie Vardy to Demarai Gray the visitors even the score in the 47’ minute and later on OG play by Wolves Connor in the 51’ to put the game even.  

As this contest was far from over the Wolves even the scores at two goals each when Diogo Jota with a pass from Ruben Neves in the 64’ minute, still came the response from the Foxes with James Madison passing to Wes Morgan in the 87’ minute. 

The game tied at three goals, came the unthinkable and the time came with Raul Jimenez passing to an open Diogo Jota on injury time 90+3 for the win on what many can state to be the game of the week.
