Cardiff City 0, Tottenham 3
Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff
Disregard the loss over the weekend against the Wolverhampton side, as these Spurs are one determined bunch of going back to their goal of netting their drive towards the league top and all its glories.
For Mauricio Pochettino side in every match sets the tone and campaign this squad is playing a one amazing as a well-oiled unit by displaying in every match the magic of Kane, Son, Eriksen and Alli displaying an amazing show.
However as this club is nearing its perfecting ridden game but there is always something that crosses on their way, imagine if that frustrating weekend loss against Wolves at home the lead these would give them in the overall table.
To shake off the likes of Manchester City in the overall table is somehow difficult as opportunities come the need to capitalize is necessary and looking back for Poche and company for sure it hurts for that lost opportunity.
As every weekend it does not get easy and for these Spurs after these enduring a hectic Premiership schedule but they are not the only ones as they have company, with the league entering its most contested stages, the heat is on.
So far, this race for the top is between Liverpool, Manchester City and the Hotspurs being among in the race and momentarily in second place with a point lead over defending champions City, still they have a match Thursday against Liverpool.
A derby that will shape the race for the top of Premiership a stalemate still will give the Spurs some hope; a loss by city for sure will assure them in second place but a Liverpool win and spite of the lead this can be the start of a contest.
The first goal of this contest was a bit unorthodox nothing spectacular in it but odd but a goal is a goal I must state, that Harry Kane score in the 3’ minute lifting his squad confidence, after their loss against Wolves, these did not underestimated the likes of the Bluebirds.
Nine minutes later came an easy shoot executed by Christian Ericksen in the 13’ beating the whole of CCFC defensive backfield and putting the visitors ahead by two goals and a total dominance of the match.
To finish the tally it was the one and only Son Heung- Min assisted by Harry Kane wrapping this one up in the 26’ minute as this contest in the end became a one-side affair for these hardened visitors.
In the end, this win is the start of perfection for these Spurs as the race to the league top, its coveted shield enters a new stage, and a day of records for Harry Kane scoring in every New Years day and the man is still going.
