The London Derby in favor of a dominant and inspired Arsenal

The London Derby became the highlight in Matchweek 23 in this weekend in the English Premier League when the Arsenal Gunners hosted it in another edition of this contest the likes of their London foes Chelsea Blues. 

The Gunners playing at home in a totally sold out venue with a numerous supporter contingent from coming from West London to support its Pensioners in another editions of this Derby with new faces in both sides helm.

For Unai Emery Gunners today his initial eleven proved to be one of the most ambitious in the course of the match, in spite of the visitors putting on the pressure but coming short of their objective in the whole ninety minutes of this affair. 

So far, the Gunners after a slow start in the course of the campaign among some of their most notable wins in these competitions including today win over Chelsea and before that against another cross-town nemesis Tottenham Hotspurs.

Talking about today match, if one squad looked ready were the local Gunners coming strong since the get go and missing in a number of occasions in the end it was a determined and skilled Alexandre Lacazette scoring the first goal of the evening. 

Before that an spectacular stop by the Blues top rated goalkeeper Kepa making a stop on a header almost being a goal by Laurent Koscielny, before that the Gunners came close with Pierre Emerick- Aubameyang near miss and a header by defender Sokratis. 

After several tries and set plays of goal by defender Hector Bellerin finally in the 14’ minute he saw his efforts paid off with a gem of a pass inside the area in what seemed a well-rehearsed play in training camp exposing positive results. 

As Hector Bellerin cross came from a disguised play from Granit Xhaka to Lucas Torreira and the Uruguayan finding the defender from Spain and his pass could not come in the right moment for the Gunners and its followers after seeing a number of near misses. 

Among one of the most disillusioned of players in the Gunners initial eleven was Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang missing what would be goals and among one of them that missed bicycle kick shaving the posts defended by Chelsea Kepa Arrizabalaga. 

However, the locals were not done yet as the halves seen totally in their side and with a total dominance; these found their second score of the game when the Gunners pressure paid off on the Chelsea’s side.

With a play, that the announcer himself described in slow motion after a Sokratis kick and finished with a well-placed Laurent Koscielny who pushed the ball in what looked like a header but the goal came thanks to the Frenchman left shoulder.

With this win, the Arsenal side is showing a lot of improvement and boost of their confidence in every match under their new Boss Unai Emery putting on his effect successfully and every match is showing its progress is delivering in Emirates.
