With preparations ahead of the new 2018-19 campaign in the NIFL Danske Bank Premiership, the Reds are looking forward to a picture perfect Europa League run. As many of the NIFL squads getting ready for another edition of league play, these Reds are looking to a stellar run.
For Barry Gray and company is business as usual and now juggling North Ireland Premiership action come this August 4 opening against Glentoran and playing as a visitor. However, in their manager mind and aims are set on their upcoming challenge in European lands.
So far the Reds are scheduled to play after being drawn against Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and to play on July 12 at home in Solitude Park in the first leg and second to be at the home of the Wild Tigers in Farum, Denmark.
The aims of these new Reds as they are launching themselves for this upcoming campaign, their aims are to excel and possibly make a dash to the league top spots and possibly in its top as well win a trophy or two.
With the majority of this squad from last campaign making a return, Cliftonville is up and ready to launch a new campaign and with a lot of ambitions to make a total impact in league play and Europe.
Still at Solitude, the Reds directives are hard at work rebuilding their squad ahead of this upcoming campaign and with the signings of Connor McMenamin and Damien McNulty as well for winger Ross Lavery signing an extension with the club.
The Reds fairy tale of netting the last spot with a win over Glentoran in the NIFL playoff, after beating the likes of Ballymena United and later the Glens to achieve such distinction.
As Cliftonville known to be the oldest of squads in Ireland, these have a not so positive record in both Champions an Europa league competitions with 14 matches total.
With league play coming ahead and the return of contested rivalries against the likes of their Belfast neighbors Linfield, Glentoran and the current champions Crusaders and for them a nice felling will beating all of their cross town foes in the always celebrated Belfast Derby.
Currently the Reds are on a busy preseason and preparing themselves ahead of what looks to be another one of a kind contest in this edition of the NIFL looking ahead of the way many of its squads have armed themselves looking forward the league shield.
As manager, Barry Gray is up and running with his Cliftonville Boys looking at any cost of delivering trophies to the halls of Solitude as well make a decent run in their upcoming European adventure in Denmark.
