Fulham looking for a successful return and permanency

The Cottagers are back and Craven Cottage once again will live up the hype and emotion of Premiership football. After their relegation in the 2013-14 campaign, the Cottagers had an all-around battle for their return to Premiership.

Still this battle became an uphill one and it was not an easy endeavor for the Londoners, with a parade of managers, until the arrival of Slavisa Jokanovic at the helm of this club in the 2015-16 campaign.

The club suddenly started playing another type of football and with more ambition after the arrival of the Serbian in the Whites, instituting more of a disciplined style of game that suddenly saw this squad putting a fight.

As the Cottagers in Jokanovic second year the Cottagers displayed a total new image in the field and aspiring to occupy top spots in Championship in the 2016-17 campaign with a 6th place finish and assuring a spot in the playoff for the last spot.

Despite their strong finish, these lost in the playoff against an inspired and determined Reading FC to a 2-1 global and the Royals losing on penalties to Huddersfield Town for the Terriers netting the last promotion spot.

For the 2017-18 playoffs the Cottagers wrote a different story, after finishing  third behind Cardiff City as the Welsh side netting the last direct pass, the London Boys went on to eliminate on the playoff the likes of Derby County and then defeat Aston Villa.

So far, in the campaign the Fulham side has been not too busy in the transfers market and with a small budget little this club can do to lure new players to Craven Cottage, still they have managed to get a duo from French Ligue Nice.

The arrival of French defender Maxime Le Marchand and Ivory Coast midfielder Jean  Michael Seri, the needs of manager Slavisa Jokanovic have been partly addressed, and with one of the hottest and most coveted of players in their roster.

The directives of Fulham FC will not surrendered to any big monies offers from several big clubs as I mentioned before to one of the most promising young players in Ryan Sessegnon as this chap can lure offers from around £70 million pounds.

Still the club attention focused on building up the confidence of the club and for manager Jokanovic is seriously observing his group in the club busy preseason and friendlies to build up on what seems to be a contested affair in their run in Premiership.

Forget the Derbies against their cross Fulham neighbor Chelsea but maintain a positive consistency in results to keep the club in a comfortable position that in the end they will not be fighting for their survival in the end and see their hard work go down the drain.

Come Saturday august 11, the Cottagers will host another cross-town foe in the Eagles of Crystal Palace on their return to Premiership; if this club salvages the campaign, a finish around 16th place will suit this club.
