The European adventure for the Glens starts against Norwegian side Molde FC and this time they are looking to advance into the next rounds. After its elimination in the first rounds, now their aims are to make a successful run in this edition of the Europa League.

So far, the club has been busy in the offseason with several friendlies in preparation as well getting new faces to face another contested campaign including their Europa League compromise against their already mentioned rival.
As the history of past performances by the Mourneview Aces in European competitions filled with disappointment, this time this entity is ready to make a decent run on this competition looking forward to make a successful advancement towards the stage group.
Being aware of the top rated squads and rivals to face off if these complete a sweep of the Vikings with the current roster these have, for sure they will deliver a series of notable performances in the European circuits.
In addition, of this club hard at work in the preseason of reinforcing its ranks to make a decent stand by resigning several of their current members of their roster and getting new faces to reinforce this club ahead of another tough contest.
The arrivals of newcomers Gary Muir, Stephen Donelly, Dylan King, Conor McCloskey, Niaill Grace, with these five newcomers to Mourneview Park to reinforce much needed help in their defensive and offensive game.
Also the return of their internationals Shayne Lavery, Shay McCartan and Ryan McLaughlin all of these recently experienced their call ups by manager Michael O’ Neill to be in their Central American tour, playing against Panama and Costa Rica.
With their set dates in League and Europa League, the Lurgan Blues will host in the first leg the likes of MFK on July 11 and in league play opening at home against the Linfield Blues on August 4.
These Lurgan Blues are up and ready for another series of challenges for this upcoming edition of the Danske Bank Premiership as many of its squads arming themselves to the teeth , the know the comeptiton in the 2018-19 campaign will increase.
Therefore, the philosophy for this club ahead of their European compromises will be one to state how good they are but the Lurgan Blues need to step their presence being far better and playing with ambition and hunger to reach high spots.
For Glenavon FC Come July 11 in Mourneview Park in Lurgan County Armaugh, will be showing off its best galas playing against their Norwegian nemesis Molde FC, starting their European adventure.
