David Wagner looking for winning consistency in Huddersfield Town

For David Wagner and his Terriers, this campaign will be taken very seriously by him and his players, after last campaign brush with disaster of near relegation and saved by a hair with a 16th place finish  in the end.

These times for the German are business as usual and try to use the teachings of his tutor Jürgen Klopp to make of his club a total contender and looking forward to net a trophy or two in this edition of the English Premier League.

For this West Yorkshire based squad, looking to make a dash to the top spots and looking for a prolific campaign sans the worries of battling relegation and instead be looking forward to a European position in the end.

Still a finish among above tenth place will a huge step in the campaign, due in how many squads armed to the teeth front in what seems to be another edition of a hard competition in Premiership.

As the club busy offseason, playing a series of friendlies and a lengthy preparation stay in Germany to play a few exhibition matches that for sure will be a boost of this squad game come opening day when they face off at home a hardened Chelsea FC.

David Wagner this campaign will be looking for many highpoints for his squad as well in seeing in the preseason in selecting the ideal initial, eleven to front the tough competition his club will face off in league as well cup play.

By far in their preseason, they have lineup matches against Italian side Bologna, RB Leipzig and in Germany to play a couple of matches in Germany against Dynamo Dressden and SV Darmstad 98 and at home.

As the way this club is arming itself with the low budget no fancy names but for sure these newcomers to John Smith Stadium or now going by the name of Kirklees Stadium under a new sponsor.

This time the Terriers are up and ready to put on a contest, despite seeing several of their player leaving to other entities, their directives went on the arduous task of looking for the ideal players to fill the gap left and see if they can adapt easily to Manager Wagner scheme.

That is why the Terriers have embarked in getting a series of new players to former John Smith Stadium to have a decorous and more prolific campaign in the big circuit and avoid that pestering relegation race in the end.

With the arrival of Ben Hamer- Leicester City,  Terence Kongolo- Monaco, Ramadan Sobhi- Stoke, Juninho Bacuna- Groningen Jonas Lossl- Mainz and Erik Durm- Borussia Dortmund.

The acquisition of two new goalkeepers, headlining a permanent stay for Jonas Lossl and City Ben Hamer, behind the likes of Schmeichel and adding more power to their defensive backfield with Eric Durm and Terence Kongolo. The Terriers are reinforcing an area of much need and boosting it with new faces.

These Terriers will be one tough competitor and maybe with a little bit of ambition by manager Wagner these will go for the FA and EFL Cups and maybe a decent run to the top ten spots as well looking for a possible European position.
