All those moves
generated by Eddie Howe the manager of the Cherries, paid off, as Vitality Stadium
lived one amazing afternoon, seeing its side finally getting into the plus side.
With a 2-1 win over
newcomers Brighton, Hove and Albion, the AFC netted three valuable points of
gold and start to regroup to face off a much-contested campaign.
I mean a win that
brings relief to its manager and crew alike and despite these being in the relegation
spots in nineteenth place, those points earned after their win today is a much
needed relief this squad needed.
This squad has been
always fighting for their permanency in the big circuit of the EPL, as a return
returning to Championship considered as a complete fracas or as a step
backwards for Eddie Howe and company.
However, a today win
brings back the confidence in this bunch but does not get them out of the
relegation spots but at least waiting for results from Leicester City versus
Huddersfield and West Ham against West Brom.
This can catapult the
Cherries above in the table with a slight differential out of the abyss.
Coming to this match
both squads managers sent the same formations in a 4-4-1-1 that in the end the
local AFC Boys got the upper hand, especially when in the second half substitutions
by Howe that deliver at the end.
As the second half
both squads looking for the right and opportune moment, it is when the Gulls
started in the Cherries side when Pascal GroB got the ball and with a beautiful
cross-found Solly March that with a header pushed the ball for the opening
goal.
This score open the deadlock
in the 55, as the visiting Brighton squad looking forward to its second win of
the campaign in back to back fashion, had the upper hand.
Still there was time
on the clock enough for the locals to mount an attack and try to even the match
when manager Howe feed up with his starting eleven impasses made his first move
when Jordon Ibe came for Ryan Fraser in the 65.
What a move as Ibe
injected a lot of positive energy to his teammates when he set foot in the
field, prompting an all-around revival and at the end became the star of the
show with his opportune assistances that lead to his team two scores.
The first play that lead
Bournemouth to its first score with a series of passes it is when Ibe with a back
heel pass to Andrew Surman beating both Albion defender and keeper to push the
ball for the Cherries first goal in the 67.
Seven minutes passed
when Ibe once again delivered in the clutch and with a nice pass to a well-placed
Jermain Defoe, once again the veteran delivered the game winner in the 73
minute to seal the deal and score their first win of the campaign.
Kudos for Eddie How
the Bournemouth Boss for his all around right moves that paid off and deliver a
much need win for his Cherries and start
their quest to move out of the danger zone of releagtion one match at a time.
No wonder Howe seen as
a promising manager that one day considered as a serious candidate to take over
the job and destinies of the English National Team.
