It happened in Manchester were Rooney deliver his landmark goal

Wayne Rooney and his Toffees are somehow looking like an unstoppable entity in this edition of Premiership, after the former Manchester United striker joined the elite 200-goal club.

As the way the Everton squad played today and denied horribly the win with a volley by substitute Raheem Sterling in the 82 minute rescuing a point but a little too late for a rally for his Sky Blues.

Putting in evidence the way Everton football has grown.

With the new faces in the School of Science lineup, these are delivering a one of a kind game for manager Ronnie Koeman and uplifting this squad chance of maybe seeing it fighting for the top league spots.

However playing in Etihad Stadium considered a tough venue, the Blues from Merseyside almost score a notable win and playing with such confidence despite the Sky Blues authority and million pounds top of the line lineup.

The Toffees once again showed up their mettle and hunger by displaying one amazing and ambitious football throughout the whole ninety minutes of this match.

Still tonight’s match saw a first in English football when the Toffees  aligned eight English nationals for the first time in Rooney, Keane, Jagielka, Holgate, Davis, Baines, Calvert- Lewin and Pickford.

As the only foreign nationals in the starting lineup were Morgan Schneiderlin France, Idisra Gueye- Senegal and Ashley Williams these latter one from Wales.

For Wayne Rooney to mark his 200 goal in his career as a combination of a Mason Holgate play and passing to Dominick Lewis- Calvert that he put the ball for Rooney definition and delivering another landmark in his career.

Disputed and very frictional match we had today as both squads whenever these fare up these matches have the elements of an all-around derby, especially when Everton plays any of the Manchester teams.

As this match took a turn for the worst for the Sky Blues when they saw, their million-pound man midfielder Kyle Walker sent off due to accumulation of yellow cards, leaving City with just ten men, something not taken advantage by the visitors.

The second half is when Pep Guardiola made some substitutions with goal scorer Raheem Sterling coming on for Gabriel Jesus, as the second half saw a better game from City with an array of plays pressuring the Everton backfield.

Still the way Koeman 3-5-2 formation wit Jagielka, Williams and Holgate working up to speed to stop the City momentum and stopping their chances of scoring cold, it’s when he started making his moves to add a more dynamic to his game.

On minute 61, he replaced both Tom Davies and Ashley Williams with Davy Klaassen and the debut of Gylfy Sigurdsson to step up the Toffees offensive game but not even after the constant pressure by the City squad.

Very well seeing the moves done by Guardiola that one paid off with Sterling strike to even it up, six minutes later the tables were turned against Everton when Morgan Schneiderlin was ejected in the 88 and leaving both squads with ten men in the field.

Despite the extra efforts from Man City to extend, the score and Everton to contain them, at the end these persevered to share the points and continue perfect in this campaign with four points each after a hectic match.

At the end the highlight of the day was the feat achieved by Wayne Rooney.
