The Toffees momentum riding high

This time is for real and for Everton’s manager Ronnie Koeman delivering his wish list of players, now is the time for him to front a contested Premiership as well Europa League if he desires to deliver.

With an opening day, win over Stoke City at home, thanks to a lone score via Wayne Rooney, the Toffees started with the right foot in what seems to be a very exciting and promising campaign.

A team that always had been playing in a sort of a more or less campaigns in the past.

This time they are for real and considered as total favorite by assurances of their newly arrived superstar Gylfy Sigurdsson who paraded today at the colossus of Walton, Liverpool sporting his new Blue colors that makes him officially a Toffee.

As Goodison Park living the hype and excitement of the Europa League, a match between Everton looking forward to earn a spot in the stage group of this competition, they were to face off against the likes of Croatia’s giants Hadjuk Split.

Today’s showdown at Walton became a happy but stern one at the end, after the visiting side cause all sorts of havoc and threatening to invade the pitch in the course of this match, provoking the park stewards and police into a state of full alert.

Still that did not stop the one of a kind game momentum exercised by the local Blues after a couple of scores from Michael Keane and Idrissa Gueye to seal the deal for Koeman’s side and go to Split, Croatia with a two goal advantage.

As next Thursday, the Blues can put icing on the cake at Split Stadion Polsjud, considered difficult but not impossible to play despite the hostile environment they are to face off.

So far, everything is going well for the School of Science.

Still in league play, the challenge is on and with a tough series of matches coming by playing next week in Etihad Stadium and face off Pep Guardiola Sky Blues in a match with all the elements of a Derby.
After Manchester City, follows a trip to London Town and play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to return home and play another giant in Tottenham and later going to Old Trafford and play against a renewed and heavily favorite nemesis in Manchester United.

This does not look easy but certainly, is not difficult endeavor with a squad enjoying their momentum and have their confidence restored very well looking forward to a notable finish.

However, with a lengthy calendar including league, international play and internal cup competitions, the Everton side has a hardened squad built this summer with all the elements of developing a winner and by their Boss instructions, important players arrived.

Since last campaign when Morgan Schneiderlin arrived via Manu, many saw the seriousness of these club top think tanks of building a contender in this campaign as well once in for all see a display of good game and finally see the arrivals of some trophies.

The Everton directives so far have accumulated an expense tally of £144 million pounds and maybe looking now for a striker to complete their final wish list objectives.

At the end with the state of this squad and returning players and record signing of a total of thirteen players including the man from Iceland, Sigurdsson who made his pre-match appearance in front of what is to be his new followers.

The Everton FC was built with one thing in mind compete and maybe join in a year or two the elite of Premiership as one of its so-called giants, this is it!
