The Terriers made their mark on their Premiership debut

What a way to start your new adventure in the top circuit of Premiership with an all-around win and overpowering your foe for your first notable on opening day.

As Huddersfield Town coming to London Town, playing its first match of the campaign as a debutante, and facing a heavily favorite Crystal Palace squad, their initial eleven did one heck of a job.

After a long 45 year wait, the Terriers did not hesitated to start making history once again and looking forward to many memorable afternoons like today’s.

Still this is just a single game and the best is yet to come in this edition of the English Premier League looking once again as contested as ever and opening a spot for a fairy tale or two for some of its squads.

If someone was shocked after the match, was Huddersfield Town Boss David Wagner who saw in disbelief how his Boys delivered in every minute of this match and at the end pull in what seemed to be a valuable but iconic win.

Not bad for the first time and after a while, as the Town Boys did everything right to deliver their first win of the campaign as well be placed atop the league overall table with matches aplenty to come.

As this is just the starting point.

By playing as a visitor, many thought that the Terriers were just to show up and start their long dilemma many promoted squads go through in the course of the campaign until their demise and return via relegation to Championship.

Especially when you played a squad that can play a one of a kind football or an average one but with the likes of being a spoiler when it comes to play the so-called giants of Premiership, which has delivered this squad a reputation of spoilers.

With a new man at their helm, the Eagles were looking forward to fly high in front of their home crowd and give their first year man Frank De Boer their first win of the campaign, according to their calculations and underestimating their competition a bit prematurely.

As they did not foresee the hunger and fighting spirit, the visitors displayed all match long, the Glaziers left in awe in the end and with disbelief of what they been exposed to from a newcomer playing a very efficient football.

By not wearing their traditional blue shirts, the Terriers wore a sort of a black uniform with gold stripes and coming very strong in every minute of the match passed, the perseverance of the new kids delivered them three points of gold.

A victory that boosts the confidence of the Town Boys as well is elevating their game to a new level coming next week their home opener against another former Championship foe in the Magpies of Newcastle United and later receiving a renewed Southampton.

In addition, the way this match belonged to the visitors was this week one highlights in the English Premier League as well being the not so dominant ones in the tale of the tape showing an advantage for the local Crystal Place Boys.

At the end, this squad never seems to amaze everyone since its fight to promotion to its work by its front office to assemble a winner in the summer transfers market without making scandalous purchases but sure ones.

With an open wallet, this squad managed to get nine players to come to West Yorkshire and among one of them who delivered with a double was one of its most expensive investments in Steve Mounie who scored in the 23 and 78.

Now back to the drawing board for Wagner and look for ways to deliver a continuance and consistency in his squad great display of football for their upcoming matches and deliver a notable campaign.
