An Impacting win for Le Gars of Montreal

How sweet it is the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat to the visiting New Englanders after leading for a good part of today’s match with their new man at the front- Kei Kamara. As Saputo Stadium lived up one awesome afternoon of football from Le Gars who came from behind with Rookie sensation Michael Salazar who dispatched himself with another set of two beautifully scored goals.

Forget Didier Drogba, as he was missing in action, but his presence not felt as the Impact had an ace under their sleeve with their man of the match in Michael Salazar, that was enough to give the Impact an important win over their conference rivals.

As both squads sported 4-2-3-1 formations, the immediate presence of the Revs felt with a very persistent Kei Kamara who had a formidable first half and driving the whole of Montreal backfield into disarray. Suddenly the tables were turned and for the local Gars of Montreal their response felt immediate with their rookie sensation, who he did too respond to Kamara double.

Very well sealing the deal and the win was like always the Impact man of the hour Argentinian Ignacio Piatti who became the other hero of the match, by scoring the go ahead and winning goal via penal, that gave his squad three points of gold.

A much-disputed match were both squads showed off in all ninety-six minutes of play where these titans  did the best of their strategies and game to try their best in netting the go ahead goals. So far, in this campaign the Montreal squad is looking very solid and ambitious in trying to make a good run towards the league postseason.

So far, the Impact situated in third place after this win in the Eastern Conference and 24 points, the squad of Mauro Biello is poised for much higher horizons and looking forward to deliver more shields.

For now, the Montreal squad is looking forward to make its moves to the top of their conference as well by netting important wins and adding points to their cause, with just three points behind the NYCFC.  As the league progresses and moves within its second half, it is when the Impact will be in need of having a complete and a healthy initial eleven.

As in tonight match the Montreal squad lacked, many of its starters in Laurent Ciman not return from international duty in Euro with Belgium. For other players in Didier Drogba sidelined with a foot injury, Donny Toia and Marco Donadel almost returning from the DL and Luca Ontiveri with the flu.

When the Montréal lineup is all complete and these players make their return, there is no doubt this will be a squad to beat, still the way the game against the Revolution, in how Manager Mauro Biello did an excellent job in his lineup that at the end showed up positive results.

Still the buck does not stop there for the Impact who will be on the road to play Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium and then at Rose City Portland to face the defending champions Portland Timbers and returning home to face their conference leaders NYCFC.

At the end, the Montreal squad recorded an impacting and marvelous win over their conference rivals the New England Revolution and this being a positive start for the City of Mary squad in their upcoming matches.
