Dundalk FC mission impossible in Champions League

For the three-time winner of the Airtricity League of Ireland, Dundalk FC this is it! Time of truth and rematch against Bate Borisov of Belarus, who are still in the Lilywhites Boss mind, after these eliminated the Republic of Ireland side in last year edition of the Champions League.

As the Belarus side was on the way for the Oriel Park Boys, by just one match these would done the ultimate of reaching the coveted stage group, everything crumbled in front of Stephen Kenny and his Chaps.

Now we have a different story after the Lilywhites are disposing of tier rivals one round at a time, after many saw them with their backs in the canvas after the Iceland Boys netted an away goal at Oriel Park. The Ireland squad did the ultimate of feats and with a double from David Mc Millan on the 52 and 62.

The Iceland feat done after disposing the away goals and the score finishing at 3-3, Dundalk advanced into the next rounds after prevailing over FC Hafnarfjordur.

For now the Lilywhites will have to play their best ever football and take advantage of their condition of visitor when they play at Borisov Arena to try and get a positive result as those away goals can make a difference and tell it to the Dundalk Boys.

The battle in the next rounds will considered as one uphill and difficult one for the League of Ireland reigning champions eleven that will have to get out of their best performances and play like this was a final.

So far, the Lilywhites have shown a lot of character in each one of their European matches and looking forward to make their advance into the coveted stage group to play with the big guns of Europe and maybe if their resolve is set, we may have the best playing in Oriel Park.

With a third run into the Champions League, Stephen Kenny Boys have shown their past experience after their downfalls, which has given the Boss of this group a much better approach and vision to make it happen.

For now, the Lilywhites have a task and mission impossible but not difficult to face, when they visit the always hardened and tough Bate Borisov at Belarus and try for the unthinkable of advancing into the next rounds as their manager has envisioned.

No stopping this Dundalk Boys for now, but they will have to become ready and play from now on a very ambitious and one of a kind football to reach to the promised land of the Stage group, this squad can do it.

Despite the nerve-racking match at Kaplankirki in Iceland, the Lilywhites prevailed and now to their July 26 compromise, something that this squad so far has shown a winning spirit.

Very well, the Belarus Boys know what they are going against and all about this club and match to play with a touch of revenge from the Ireland based squad, there no turning of the page and Dundalk can make history in Champions.
