Anything can happen
for those Boys from Dublin, in this edition of the UEFA Europa League, so far
so good and moving on up in this important event. With an opportune score in the 54th
minute at Traktor Minsk Stadium, the draw is worth as an almost win for the Saints.
As the away goals can
be a bit damming for any squad, playing at home and despite the lead, these may
have, that killer goal can get you packing your bags for home.
Still nothing been achieved
by the Pats who are getting ready for the second leg to be played at Richmond
Park back in Inchicore, Dublin. This match will decide the faith of the Dubliners
as well becoming a sort of goal for their boss Liam Buckley to net its pass into
the next rounds.
As the next step for the
Saints will be to advance into the third rounds considered vital as well
lucrative for the participating squads, a good performance and pass that will
enable the Dublin squad to get a hefty pay. Alongside of playing with squads of
the caliber of West Ham United, Hertha Berlin and Spartak Moscow waiting for results of the second
round playoffs on Wednesday and Thursday.
One thing we have
seen from this club, it is the initiative and spirit of not getting down despite
the scoreboard being against them, as this past match in Minsk, the Pats being
down by a goal scored by the Dynamo striker Korytho on the 25th.
The Pats were back in
the scoreboard on the 54th minute via Christy Fagan, who has been valuable
to the Pats Europa League adventure after his opportune contributions in the
field lately.
However, the Pats with
a win over the Belarus squad, they can play the winner from either Serbian side
FK Vojvodina or Welsh Connah's Quay in the third round a win can net the Pats into
the coveted stage groups.
So far, with the way
the Saint Pats squad has been playing in Europa league they are motivated of a continuance
in this important tourney and being seeded in the always fought off Stage Group
as well looking forward of making all around history.
Still the Pats are
bound for a very rocky match and disputed one, in their quest of advancing;
they will have to make a perfect match and played like there was no tomorrow
and with the touch of final in those ninety minutes.
For the Saints Boss
Liam Buckley, its business as usual and despite the tie and away goal advantage,
he has urged his players to be calm and ready for the next challenge ahead as
well looking forward for the win. Coming to Thursday his squad is complete and
well rested to receive a hardened Dynamo Minsk and if contained the pats can
cause havoc on the visitor’s posts.
A big possibility that
Buckley can repeat the same lineup he put on Traktor Stadium, that really
worked wonders and after the tying goal by Fagan, his squad became an attacking
machine and almost did the feat of winning the match.
