No contest here as
the perseverance filled Blues once again they did it with style and now to face the
reality of Champions and the unavoidable is set with another hell of a test against
a tough and experienced big leaguer.
Madness, madness they
call it madness of all matches and for the Hoops this will be another test of
fire, I mean for both squads, in what many are giving it all of their
attention, despite this being a Champions League knockout rounds.
As they say, the Bhoys
will have to dance with the ugly one and for Manager Brendan Rodgers it’s time
to stand his ground and maintain their cool when playing the Blues as this team
is not a walk in the park.
La Fiorita the San Marino
side was no match for the Northern Ireland Boys, as these coming down from a draw and these mounted a single one and voila the dream match up is set.
Nothing to it as the
Blues looking forward to start writing history as the underdog, their main
motivation will be the ambitious poised monies in gate, television, advertising
and merchandising for a total of £ 1 million.
Now that is a payday
for a club of the likes of Linfield a semiprofessional one and with a limited
budget.
As the tale of the
tape shows of an even match up with a couple of treble winners in their respective
leagues as both Celtic and Linfield did the unthinkable.
One thing to consider
for the little guy and this is the David Healy Blues, these are one fighting
machine and never desist in their quest and goals, as they did it in this past edition
of the Danske Bank League of Ireland.
For Celtic, forget last year
Champions debacle after losing to a minnow by the name of Lincoln Imps from
Gibraltar, despite the comeback in the second leg, their miscarriages continue against
Barcelona, Man City and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Anyway going back to
the match, the Blues did battle it out against their San Marino foes that were
on the hunt for their first ever Champions win and for Healy Blues, denying them
with a win at the end.
With Windsor on their
side and the twelve men in the field, the Blues were all inspiration and with a
run in at San Marino Park draw at zero goals, the returns was sealed by Jordan
Steward strike at the end and wrapped this one up.
Come July 14 Windsor
Park will be hosting the first leg between the Celts and its Blues, here will
be a one of a kind match up between two titans with the essence of an all-around
final as July 19 at Celtic Park.
At the end, let the competition
be in the field and not be in the stands, can we get along and live in brethren,
my dear Celts and Blues fans, it’s a pity we won’t see any of Hoops fans in
Belfast, but time comes to Glasgow.
Celtic fans will
welcome you with open arms to all the Blues followers, peace and good will
prevail and may the best one wins, good luck Celtic and Blues.
