Stoke City to make a mammoth of a campaign

With a successful preseason friendlies accompanied by a shield to adorn the halls of Bet365 Stadium in Staffordshire, the Potters and manager Mark Hughes are looking for a top of the line campaign.

As the looks of a more competitive edition in its 2017-18 of Premiership is set to begin.

The Stoke City squad is ready to look for a more exciting and one of a kind campaign that they for sure will like to overcome their 13-place finish with a more decorous one.

As the supporters of this club are growing a bit restless and demanding of more exciting campaigns, manager Mark Hughes will have to look for ways to overwhelm the competition and especially the so-called giants of this league.

After a successful series of preparations in Switzerland and competing in the Uhrencup with wins over Swiss sides BSC Young Boys and Neuchatel Xanaz, after the BSC side beat Portugal’s giant Benfica, to help the Potters cause.

This assured Potters Boss Hughes his first trophy delivered to the halls of former Britannia Stadium, and now bearing BET365, as well the second shield for an English Premiership squad after Ipswich Town won it.

So far, with matches against French side La Ligue AS Monaco, followed by championship sides Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers and RB Leipzig from Austria’s League, the Potters are looking forward to be a total contender.

In the transfers market, Stoke City so far has been a little conservative and not scandalous as last campaign big names came to Stoke City.

Still the arrival of Darren Fletcher- West Brom Albion, Josh Tymon- Hull City and Tre Pemberton- Blackburn Rovers, so far assures them little hope in their plans for this upcoming campaign.

In addition, the arrival at Stoke by Kurt Zouma from Chelsea for a medical, indicates the end of a monster deal for the Potters and the possible return from Porto loaner Bruno Martins Indi to Britannia.

If the Zouma deal progresses, he will be the third player from Stamford Bridge to follow the footsteps of former Potters Victor Moses and Marko Van Gynkel..

Still the club for its initial eleven is in need of a more solid defense and more creative midfield along a top of the line striker that can really became a bit dangerous in its attack as well become a brick wall to prevent heartbreaking loses.

Despite an exodus of several players, manager Hughes is betting on this club academy and wisely doing it instead of having the club invest in big name players that at the end will not be as productive.

As many names are in the orbit of this club, very well with several of their current base getting inquiries from other clubs.

For many managers in Premiership looking forward to their club future with its academy and for Mark Hughes it is the ideal formula of making up a competitive and resilient squad for future campaigns.

The road to success in Premiership is paved with an array of obstacles, very well if the aims of this club to make all sorts of headlines and display a spectacular campaign that at the end deliver a European competition.
