The transfers market
is becoming a hot commodity for the Irons, after last campaign debut in England’s
capital majestic Olympic stadium.
By capturing many
headlines for this club long sought desire and negotiations for their new home.
However, a twist of history
for the Academy of Football marred by an array of setbacks for the Londoners,
after displaying a not so positive and spectacular campaign that almost put
them near relegation.
What I meant as a hot
and successful market for the Academy, reinforcing areas of much needed help,
with a goalkeeper, striker, midfielder and a defender coming to play at London
Stadium.
For Slaven Bilic getting
ready to front a contested campaign with an all-around contender and deliver notable
results will be one of his utmost of desires, if he wants to continue in charge
of this historic club.
History is what the
Serbian wants to write in this campaign with his new signings.
This time is for real
and he is looking forward to a distinguish campaign that if possible he can
reach the top spots in the overall table and why not the league shield, but
realistically speaking a European spot will do for now.
Very well, making a
decent run and improving their game in both defense and offense will do just
fine too for Bilic looking forward to a total revival in his much-improved initial
eleven, return his club to the top spots, and recover their long lost respect.
Still with just four new
players, so far the Irons are accumulating all sorts of praises and admiration
from many in the media after delivering a one of a kind coup with their recent
signing of Mexican top striker in Javier Chicharito Hernandez.
The arrival of the
little pea will indeed boost and up a notch the attack of West Ham accompanied
by bonus in the midfield in Marko Arnatovic and top of the line Argentinian international
defenders Pablo Zavaleta and keeper Joe Hart.
So far, with a busy
preseason manager Bilic has prepared a series of friendlies to get its team up to
date and get everyone in tune to his strategies, with matches already played against
Sturm Graz II, Fulham both delivered positive results.
As their Germany preseason
and preparation for the Hammers, these will be playing in the Betway Cup with a
couple of matches against Bundesliga giant Werder Bremen, then Altona 93 and
closing against Manchester City at Laugardalsvöllur.
Then
comes the real test and opening day in Premiership with a trio of matches were
the Hammers will play all of its three matches away and against their one and
only archrival, Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Following
a trip to Saint Mary’s has to face off Southampton and later to Saint James against
Newcastle United to wrap up a busy on the road agenda and return home in September
opening day against newcomers Huddersfield Town.
Despite
the new faces and renewed hopes of a revival at London Stadium, West Ham can finish
above seventh place or better, but there will be catch for their Boss Slaven
Bilic to tackle a huge challenge and turnaround this club for the best.
