Last campaign, Sean
Dyche and his Burnley bunch made a statement and delivered the unthinkable of
making a return to see the lights of another campaign in the ranks of
Premiership.
For a club with a
limited budget or the might to deliver a big name player to play in Turf Moor, this
club can make an all-around impact in this campaign.
By not just making a
decent run, but to overcome last campaign 16 place finish to a more notable
one.
So far, the club has
cleaned house, several of its last campaign players have move on to other
squads, and the arrival of just three chaps to reinforce this club, maybe manager
Dyche has a trick under his sleeve.
On the other hand, he
is planning to make a stand with a bunch of academy players to front another
disputed edition of the English Premier League.
As last campaign,
this chap makes a hell of a job at the helm of the Clarets and last campaign he
proved everyone wrong by staying put in the big circuit.
For a man that many
experts have dubbed as open of the most promising of managers that one day can
take over the affairs of the English National team.
Still with new faces
arriving at Turf Moor in Charlie Taylor- Leeds United, Jonathan Walters- Stoke
City and Jack Cork- Swansea City, Sean has put his trust in all of them and
with the returning roster, we may have a contender.
However, no preseason
is complete without any friendlies to prepare the Boys and for the Clarets Boss
its back to business and with a series of friendlies, starting with a resilient
Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
Later with matches
against Afreton Town, Kidderminter Harriers, Preston North End, Nottingham
Forrest for starters, the real tune up comes against La Liga side Celta de Vigo
and Bundesliga Hannover 96 both matches at home.
The Clarets will be
ready for their upcoming challenges in the start of a new campaign in EPL with
an away opening game at Stamford Bridge against the defending champions Chelsea
FC.
Returning home to Turf
Moor, Burnley will face off West Brom Albion and then to close August to London
Town in Wembley and play against always tough and favorite to win this edition
Tottenham Hotspurs.
Tough but not
difficult the challenge for this upcoming 2017-18 campaign were the Clarets are
up and ready to make a total statement and play the role of spoilers and labeled
underdogs but not to be messing against.
At the end this
campaign Sean Dyche and his Burnley Boys have a lot to prove and make a total stand
in order to aspire for something big, the same those that a couple of years ago
wrote on the annals of Premiership a fairy tale.
Why not these chaps,
they can nab a European spot at least at the end or a shield in the EFL or FA
Cups, nothing is written and Dyche can sure deliver as this campaign is the one
to prove himself and his squad mettle.
