After that wild win
via the infamous penalties, the Boys of Huddersfield Town sealed their pass
into one of the worlds most contested associations, the English Premier League.
It happened in the
cathedral of football in London, when the Terriers did the unthinkable and
defeating the all-around favorites of this event, the Reading Royals, looking
forward for its return to Premiership in this playoff that defines the third
squad for promotion.
With Newcastle
United, Brighton Hove & Albion, the Huddersfield Boys join these elite from
the ranks of Championship to face off their new adventure in the big circuit
seen as an all-around challenge.
The Terriers not had
been back into the ranks of the English Premier League since their stay in the
early seventies, something that newly installed manager David Wagner delivered
the unthinkable.
So far, the Terriers have
kept some of his players from that heroic match amongst them its German base, of
Michael Hefele, Christopher Schindler, Collin Quaner and Chris Lowe, these
considered the source for this club success.
Also with the return
of the majority of its foundation that deliver the miracle at West Yorkshire.
The Town is ready to
front another challenge and this time will be on of their utmost of challenges
of staying put in their first year in the ranks of Premiership, an all-around
challenge for its Boss David Wagner.
As this campaign,
John Smith Stadium will experience the thrill and glory of the English Premier
League excitement and all around emotion after 45 years of total absence.
However, the Terriers
Boss is not risking its achievement and so far has reinforced its most
vulnerable areas in its frontal attack with two prominent strikers, one
goalkeeper and its majority being in its midfield.
For the Terriers
getting ready for their preseason friendlies, that includes matches in July
against league 2 Accrington Stanley,
League 1 Bury and Championship side Barnsley on August two
internationals against VFB Stuttgart and Italian side Torino.
With the preseason,
manager Wagner expects his squad to be ready for their first Premiership match
playing away against Crystal Palace at Selhurt Park in their Premiership debut.
Returning home at
John Smith Stadium on a two game stand against former Championship foes Newcastle
United and Southampton will be their first test in this campaign for the
Terriers and adventure in EPL.
That is why the club
has went into the task of getting new players to reinforce and with players of
the likes of Aaron Moy- Man City, , Jonas Lossl- Mainz, Tom Ince- Derby County,
Kasey Palmer- Chelsea, Danny Williams- Reading FC, Scott Malone- Fulham and
Mathias Jorgensen- Copenhagen FC.
Looks like one of the
areas of most need is the midfield witht eh addition of all these players, this
puts in evidence of this man of preparing his squad to what seems always the
start of a much fought off campaign.
In addition, the incorporation
of two strikers Steve Mounie- Montpellier and Laurent Depoitre-FC and goalkeeper
Jonas Lossl- Mainz, rounds up a busy summer of important signings for the new Boys
in Premiership.
To conclude the Terriers
are ready for prime time and looking forward to a successful campaign and being
their goal many more to come to stay put in Premiership for a long time, very
well looking forward to many stellar days.
Good luck Terriers in
your return to Premiership!
