Oliver Giroud blockbuster score that silence Belgrade

Red Star Belgrade is not an easy foe to tangle against, especially at home in Rajko Mitić Stadium, were all of their faithful can be a sort of intimidation to any squad coming to play in this venue.

Still the afternoon was to belong to one of Wegner many players under the eye of harsh critics especially in his French striker Oliver Giroud delivering the game winner as that silence many of his detractors.

As the Crvena Zvezda faithful can be as noisiest and a bit intimidating with its follower’s pregame rituals that can make anyone not so welcome, being the whole concept of the Belgrade Boys idea.

Deliver fear in a show of might in the stands and transmit that to the field to its players.

With a match in the UEFA Europa League, the Arsenal Boys made the trek to always difficult and tough Belgrade to play one of its utmost of representatives ever since the old days of the great Yugoslavia.

As Red Star Boss Vladan Milojevic sending a conservative 4-2-3-1 formation with a lone man in the front in striker Boakye followed behind by Radonjic, Kanga and Srnic to start something interesting in the visitors posts.

In the arsenal side with Arsene Wegner sending a bold but daring 3-4-3 formation and with  Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Oliver Giroud upfront to generate plays of danger and deliver in the clutch to continue the Londoners perfection.

The game in the tale of the tape turned out to be leaning in favor of the London Boys as well thee playing a marvelous game of football lately not seen in their home league of Premiership but tonight this squad shows its spark.

Especially its backfield with an inspired and stingy threesome that defended with their lives to say, the posts of Petr Cech as the Czech became outstanding with a series of opportune saves to preserve the clean sheet at the end.

the noise coming out of the venue nicknamed Marakana, after a total sold out and seeing how their Boys generated at times dangerous plays near the Gunners arches, but denied by tan overzealous Mohammed Elneny, Rob Holding and the return of Mathieu Debuchy.

Made life miserable all ninety minutes long for the home side not tired of making all sorts of intents towards Cech arches to score, their efforts at the end went in vain until that play that seal the deal for Wegner and company.

Still give Jack Wilshere a whole lot of credit after his brilliant series of play and one of a kind performance for his Gunners,   as that front three made life a living hell for the Red and White keeper and his backfield.

The night belonged with the label of all around hero to Oliver Giroud as mentioned before he became the man of the hour who got the rebound from Theo Walcott and the French looking like a bicycle kick score the game winner.

This win keeps the Gunners in sole passion of Group H top with nine points and a match in league play on Sunday against Everton at Goodison park and with this win will be a shoot of confidence once again for Wegner and company.
