Worth the wait for the Terriers to rock on Manu

After 65 years of waiting, match week 9 became the ideal one for the lads of Huddersfield Town to consume one of their utmost of feats and defeating one of the most celebrated squads in Premiership.

As Jose Mourinho and his Red Devils of Manchester United, coming to John Smith Stadium looking to get a positive result and continue to extend his club unbeaten streak and keep a close tab on their cross-town foes of Manchester City.

Still the afternoon had to belong to an inspired Terriers squad having in the background a totally sold out stadium and with a home crowd that never ceased in their intents of delivering all sorts of noise and support to them all afternoon long.

By seeing how their Boys in the field delivered a historical win for a club recently promoted to the big circuit of Premiership, generating all sorts of headlines after delivering the unthinkable of upsetting the likes of a hot streaked Manchester United.

Tell that to a proud and pumped up Huddersfield Town manager in David Wagner after seeing his side defiantly took care of business and never ceased in its intents of making a mockery of a visiting Manu squad.

After the start of this match the Terriers did put on a display and inspired and dynamic game that caught by surprised the Red Devils defense and dominated them with a couple of scores, both in the first half.

The first goal of the match came from a ricochet or a rebound, after Tom Ince getting into the area via a pass from the scorer Aaron Moy, after the United keeper clearance, it’s when the former Sky Blue Moy shoot made the back of the visitors nets.

That score is the one that has set the match tone as well the whole of the Terriers initial eleven confidence for the rest of this match and not looking back in their intents of delivering the unthinkable.

As the first score done by an error by United keeper David De Gea and taken in full advantage by Aaron Moy in the 28 minute lifted the Terriers confidence throughout the whole match and never looked back.

In the visitors, sideline a worried and irate Boss in Jose Mourinho seeing in disbelief how his initial eleven with all of its multiple weapons, these could not decipher an inspired and determined Huddersfield defense did the impossible.

Especially denying the likes of Romelu Lukaku all afternoon long his chances of getting his squad in the scoreboard and despite the fight and intentions the visitors had, the defense rose to the occasion and with a Jonas Losl steeping for the occasion.

Not even five minutes passed when a long ball clearance that Laurent Depoitre took advantage and beating United Victor Lindelof for the second and go ahead goal that gave the Terriers the lead and win at the end.

Despite Manu reaction in the second half and a combination from Romelu Lukaku corner to a well-placed Marcus Rashford to head the lone goal United score and revival that came a little too late.

At the end the local squad played a one of a kind game of football and deliver a historical win to even the winning, ties and losses to three each and the win that places them with 12 points in eleventh place.
